New Zealand.

 

New Zealand is a country situated in the southern hemisphere, in the south west Pacific near Australia.

It is made up of two large islands called the North Island and the South Island and many other small islands.

There is a large variety of landscapes in New Zealand.

Glaciers,fiords,mountains,plains,subtropical forest,volcanic plateau and hundreds of miles of sandy beaches .

The North Island has a number of active volcanoes. The last to erupt was mount Ruapehu in 1996.Ruapehu is one of the world’s most active volcanoes and the largest in New Zealand .In the winter months people travel from all over the North island to Ski on one of the mountains two ski fields .
